Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Player Has Found Its Biggest Secret

A Star Wars Jedi: Survivor easter egg that went unnoticed for nearly four years has finally been found mere hours after being mentioned by a Respawn developer.

It’s a little hard to believe, but it’s been more than three years since Cal Kestis last graced our screen in the brilliant Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Alongside improving Fallen Order’s combat, exploration, and story, Survivor went all in on references, secrets, and easter eggs that celebrated both Star Wars and the Jedi series.

From the return of Cal’s much-memed ponchos to cameos from original trilogy characters, Survivor had plenty for players to discover. There were so many secrets, in fact, that a single easter egg has taunted the community by somehow evading capture ever since Survivor launched. That search has finally come to an end today.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s Easter Egg Has Been Found After More Than Three Years

The Answer Was Right In Front Of Us The Whole Time

Some time ago, Respawn developer Jordan DeVries challenged Star Wars Jedi: Survivor players to find what has to be the game’s final easter egg. DeVries hasn’t made it easy, either, only confirming that it’s related to Survivor’s UI in some way and that you have to do something specific in one of the menus to see it.

Earlier today, DeVries replied to a comment asking about the easter egg and confirmed that it still hadn’t been found. That seems to have lit a fire beneath Twitter user towerbunga, who managed to uncover it just a few hours after DeVries brought it up, sharing a video that reveals the solution was actually pretty obvious.

Jedi: Survivor’s final easter egg can be unlocked by going into Cal’s skill tree through meditation and then inputting, you guessed it, the iconic Konami code. Doing so causes a massive hologram (or ghost, whatever you fancy) of everyone’s worst nightmare, Oggdo Bogdo, to show up and eat the destroyed planet in the background.

All of the Oggdo Bogdo love in Survivor makes me certain that he’ll show up for one final showdown in Jedi 3.

I say “you guessed it”, but clearly no one did since the easter egg has taken so bloody long to find. While having to access a specific menu does make things a little trickier, the Konami code is literally the most well-known cheat code in all of gaming, so I’m a little dumbfounded no one stumbled on it sooner. At least the hunt has come to an end, and Jedi fans can finally rest easy.
