Released Today, Wardogs has Already Sold 1M Copies in Early Access

Well, that didn’t take long. Released just hours ago into Early Access on Steam, Bulkhead’s 100-player FPS has already surpassed 1,000,000 copies sold.

Wardogs launched earlier today on Steam via Early Access, alongside a rather amusing trailer that plays homage to one of the greats, Halo 3. Per the team at Bulkhead, the trailer was made to celebrate a time when multiplayer games were ‘social, unpredictable and impossible to put down.‘

Now, just hours after launch the team soared past a million copies sold, and currently players are being slowly filtered into servers as they scale up, with many thousands still just trying to log in.

“To cross a million copies sold as we launch into early access is mental. We’ve spent the last few months showing people exactly what WARDOGS is, what it isn’t, and at one point literally gave everyone ten reasons not to buy it. We didn’t want people buying into blind hype. So seeing more than one million people choose to jump in and play the game at early access launch means a huge amount to all of us.

But this is still early access. We’ve got things to fix, things we want to improve and a lot more we want to build. The best thing players can do now is keep playing, keep telling us what they think and keep giving us those ridiculous WARDOGS moments.”

Wardogs is available right now on Steam, and as for consoles, it’s launching on Xbox and PlayStation in 2028, and you can wishlist the game on both platforms.
